Next Word Board: privacy and credits
A communication aid prototype for families. It is not a medical or therapy product and makes no clinical claims. Please work with your child's speech-language pathologist on vocabulary and layout.
Your data
- The words your child taps, the sentences spoken, your settings, your own words and photos are stored only in this browser on this device.
- There are no accounts, no tracking, no ads and no analytics. Nothing is uploaded to us.
- Photos you add are shrunk and kept on the device only. Spoken words use the voice built into your device.
- If you record a voice for a word, the browser asks for microphone permission. Recordings are kept on this device only, are used only to play that word, and are deleted with Erase.
- You can back up, move or erase everything from Grown-up settings. Clearing the browser's site data also erases it.
Optional Claude helper
Only when the app is opened inside Claude, a button can ask Claude to suggest a label and example sentences for a word or photo you add. It sends data only when you tap it. This button does not exist on this website.

- Picture symbols: OpenMoji by the OpenMoji contributors, licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. Files are in the sym folder, unmodified.
- Font: Atkinson Hyperlegible, loaded from Google Fonts, falling back to your system font offline.
